What is AllConvert?
AllConvert is a free online file converter that runs entirely in your web browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Unlike most online converters, your files are never uploaded to a server — every conversion happens locally on your own device using JavaScript. That makes AllConvert fast, private, and safe to use even for sensitive documents.
How to use it
- Add files. Drag and drop one or more files into the box on the left, or click it to browse. Each file gets its own card in the list on the right.
- Pick a target format. Every card has a dropdown showing only the formats that file can actually be converted to.
- Convert and download. Click Convert on a card, then Download when it finishes — or use Download all converted files at the bottom to grab everything at once.
Supported conversions
- Images — PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, ICO, AVIF and SVG in; PNG, JPG, WEBP, BMP, ICO or AVIF out. PNG, JPG and SVG can also be turned into a PDF.
- iPhone photos — HEIC and HEIF convert to JPG, PNG or WEBP, right in your browser.
- Text & data — TXT, CSV, TSV, JSON, XML, YAML, Markdown, HTML, CSS, JS, TS, LOG, INI and TOML, including CSV/TSV ↔ JSON, JSON ↔ XML, JSON ↔ YAML, Markdown → HTML and HTML → plain text.
- Spreadsheets — XLSX, XLS and ODS to CSV or JSON; CSV and JSON back to XLSX (Excel).
- Documents — DOCX to HTML or plain text; PDF to PNG images (one per page, zipped) or plain text; plain text to PDF.
- Archives — ZIP and GZIP, both compressing and extracting.
- Subtitles — SRT ↔ VTT, or extract the dialogue as plain text.
- Encodings — text to/from Base64 and hex, plus URL encoding and decoding.
