How merging works

Tips for working with large PDFs

Because the merge and split operations run inside your browser, very large files depend on your device's available memory. If you are working with PDFs over 100 MB, close other tabs to free up RAM. Merging many small PDFs is generally fast, but combining dozens of image-heavy files may take a few extra seconds. For splitting, extracting a narrow page range is quicker than splitting every page of a long document, because each page becomes its own file before being packaged into a ZIP.

Page ordering matters

When merging, the final PDF follows the exact order you see in the file list. Use the up and down arrows to rearrange documents before clicking Merge. If you only need certain pages from one of the files, split that file first, extract the pages you want, and then merge the extracted PDF with the rest. This two-step approach gives you full control over page sequence without any desktop software.
